Twin-Seeker compared
Honest comparisons against the tools people evaluate Twin-Seeker alongside — including where the other tool is the better buy.
Job-search tools split into two jobs: organising a search you run yourself, and running parts of the search for you. Most people need some of each, and the right choice depends on how many applications you send and how much of the process you want to hand over.
Twin-Seeker vs Teal
Teal helps you work on jobs you have already found. Twin-Seeker finds them, ranks them, and does the writing.
Twin-Seeker vs Simplify
Simplify makes the form faster to fill. Twin-Seeker decides which forms are worth filling and writes what goes in them.
Twin-Seeker vs Huntr
Huntr organises a search you are running. Twin-Seeker runs it.
Twin-Seeker vs the alternatives at a glance
| Tool | What it is | Choose it when | Choose Twin-Seeker when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Teal | Teal is a résumé builder and job tracker that scores your résumé against a posting you paste in. | Teal's Chrome extension and bookmarking flow are excellent if you prefer to browse boards yourself and save as you go. | It maintains its own corpus of live roles — around 13,700 company ATS boards plus 16 job boards — so discovery is part of the product, not something you do elsewhere first. |
| Simplify | Simplify is a browser extension that autofills job application forms across ATS portals. | Simplify's autofill is genuinely fast and it is free, which is hard to argue with if volume is your strategy. | Discovery and ranking come first: it finds the roles and tells you which ones actually fit before any application is started. |
| Huntr | Huntr is a job application tracker built around a Kanban board, with a résumé builder attached. | Huntr's board is mature, pleasant and quick, and its free tier is generous — Twin-Seeker also has a free tier with daily allowances, though paid plans unlock full capacity and Autopilot. | The pipeline board is here too, but it is fed automatically from discovery rather than by manual entry. |
How to choose
If you apply to a handful of carefully chosen roles and want a tidy place to track them, a dedicated tracker or a browser autofill tool may be all you need — they are good at exactly that, and some are free to start.
Twin-Seeker is built for the other end: discovering roles across many boards, scoring each against your own résumé, tailoring that résumé and a cover letter per posting without inventing experience, and preparing you for the interview. Its free plan covers a light search; paid plans add volume and autopilot.
Many job seekers combine tools — an autofill extension for forms, a tracker they already like, and Twin-Seeker for discovery and tailoring. Each comparison below says plainly where the other product is the better pick.

What to look for
- Where the jobs come from: whether the tool searches company career pages and applicant-tracking boards as well as aggregators, since many roles appear there first.
- How it matches you to a role: a fit score you can reconstruct from your own résumé is more useful than an opaque number.
- What tailoring changes: wording and emphasis should change per posting, while employers, titles and dates stay exactly as you wrote them.
- How much it does for you: tracking only, autofill, or discovery and drafting — and whether you review everything before it is sent.
- What it costs to start: whether there is a free tier that is enough to judge the tool on a real search.
Common questions
Can I use Twin-Seeker alongside another job tracker?
Yes. Many people keep a tracker or autofill extension they already like and use Twin-Seeker for discovery, résumé tailoring and interview practice.
Does Twin-Seeker apply to jobs without asking me?
Only if you turn on Autopilot on the Max plan. Otherwise every tailored résumé and cover letter waits for you to review it.
Is there a free plan?
Yes — the Free plan includes the live job index, AI fit scores and a daily tailored résumé, with no card required.
Will Twin-Seeker invent experience on my résumé?
No. Tailoring changes wording and emphasis to match a posting. Employers, job titles, dates and education are copied from the résumé you uploaded, and a rewritten line that adds a skill or number you never listed is flagged for you to check before you use it.
Where does Twin-Seeker find jobs?
From a live index refreshed throughout the day from thousands of employers' own career boards on Greenhouse, Lever, Workable and Ashby, plus general job boards. Roles often appear on an employer's own board before they reach the aggregators.
How we write these comparisons
- We compare what each product is for, not what it costs: competitor prices and limits change without notice, so we do not quote them.
- Every claim in our column is about our own software and can be checked against it; we do not make claims about what another product cannot do.
- Every comparison includes the cases where the other tool is the better buy, and shows the date it was last reviewed.
- If something in a comparison is wrong or out of date, tell us through the contact page and we will correct it and move the review date.
